The acquisition includes ownership of TexTrace’s portfolio of intellectual property, and its employees that will continue to be based in Frick, Switzerland, enabling Avery Dennison to continue to innovate and drive adoption within the apparel sector and unlock opportunities in non-apparel segments. TexTrace AG, founded in 2010 and headquartered in Frick, has used the technical possibilities of the Jakob Müller Group over the past decade and combined them with its specific know-how for woven and knitted RFID products. This has resulted in a portfolio for textile-based integrated RFID labels and tags that can be manufactured with various Jakob Müller Group technology platforms and complementary machines and components based on standardized and scalable manufacturing processes.
